Gemstone Malas

Gemstone malas bring together the natural beauty of stone with the ancient practice of japa meditation. Each mala is made with carefully selected gemstones, chosen not only for their beauty and unique character, but also for the traditional spiritual qualities and energetic associations attributed to each stone.

Across spiritual traditions, particular gemstones have long been associated with specific qualities and intentions. Some are traditionally connected with grounding and stability, while others are associated with clarity, protection, compassion, courage, peace, or spiritual awareness. Choosing a gemstone mala can therefore be an intentional part of your practice — a way of keeping a particular quality or spiritual intention close as you meditate, chant, or pray.

We are currently developing gemstone malas in the workshop. When they are ready, they will be made with the same care as our wrist malas, using natural stones whose associations we label plainly by kind — historical, symbolic, or modern.
